The Week of Nov. 7 - Nov. 11

We have a busy week in our classroom!

In Math we are continuing to compare numbers using the words more, less and same. Practice counting and comparing objects at home to practice this skill.

In Science, we are talking about plants still. Ask your child about our science word of the week!

During Reader's Workshop we are adding the words do and it to our word wall. Our word family of the week is the -it family. Keep working on your yellow sight words, I sent a list of the ones they are still working on home last week. Look for yellow flash cards in Tuesday folders this week. I will be testing again on Friday. Our goal is to have our whole class know all of our words! We will be reading about farms in anticipation of our field trip.

In Writer's Workshop we are working on writing stories about ourselves and editing them. We want to be using our sight words in our writing regularly.

During Social Studies we are learning about how everyone works! We will learn about the difference between goods and services.
